Results of the 7th Doctoral Program Committee Meeting, 2025 Academic Year

Meeting Date: July 8, 2026

1. Applications by doctoral students Xu ○ and Li ○-Ying to change their oral examination committee members were approved.

(1) Applications by doctoral students Huang ○-Yu, Chang ○-Yuan, and Lai ○-Mei to use two conference papers to substitute for one Chinese-language academic journal article were approved.

(2) Applications by Yang ○-Hsien to use a conference paper to substitute for the course “Design Literature Review,” and by Tsai ○-Heng to use a conference paper to substitute for “Design Research Methodology” were approved.

(3) Application by doctoral student Chang ○-Yuan to use a conference paper to fulfill the English proficiency requirement was approved.

(4) The name of Conference No. 61 recognized by the Institute was revised to:
International Conference on Informatics, Environment, Energy and Applications.

3. Application by doctoral student Tsai ○-Heng to take the Doctoral Candidate Oral Examination was approved.

4. Applications by doctoral students Chuang ○-Shan, Chiang ○, and Ma ○-Chun to receive a one-year reduction of the required Master's program core courses were reviewed. Although all three students have professional expertise in their respective fields, the submitted materials were not sufficiently aligned with the content, objectives, topics, and design practice of the courses for which credit exemption was requested. Therefore, the applications were not approved.

5. Students are reminded that when applying for recognition or approval of academic achievements, all published journal articles, conference papers, and other relevant academic work must comply with the Institute's applicable regulations and academic ethics guidelines.
