[Announcement] Procedures and Timeline for Student Suspension or Withdrawal Applications

[Announcement] Procedures and Timeline for Student Suspension or Withdrawal Applications for the Second Semester of the 2023 Academic Year

I. Application Process: Navigate to the Yuntech homepage/Yuntech SSO/Office of Academic Affairs Information System/My Applications/Suspension or Withdrawal Application, register online, print out the application form for suspension or withdrawal, and attach the relevant supporting documents (for example, a military service certificate for suspension due to enlistment). The applicant or a designated representative, with a power of attorney attached (as per the attachment), must personally handle the suspension or withdrawal procedures at the university. Failure to complete the aforementioned steps will result in the inability to process the suspension or withdrawal.

II. Application Deadline: From February 2nd to June 11th, 2024.

III. After registration and payment, the following refund standards for tuition and miscellaneous fees will apply upon approval of the suspension or withdrawal application (the date of the refund is determined by the date the application is stamped by the Registration Division):

    (a) February 2nd - February 19th: Exempt from fees; full refunds will be issued to those who have already paid.

    (b) February 20th - March 29th: Two-thirds of the tuition and miscellaneous fees will be refunded.

    (c) March 30th - May 10th: One-third of the tuition and miscellaneous fees will be refunded.

    (d) May 11th - June 11th: No refunds will be given for tuition and miscellaneous fees paid.

IV. Applications for suspension or withdrawal will not be accepted within seven days prior to the commencement of the final examinations for the semester (the last date to process suspension or withdrawal for the second semester of the 2023 academic year is June 11th, 2024, based on the date the application is stamped by the Registration Division). However, graduate students who have completed the required credits and are not enrolled in any courses for the current semester (excluding thesis) are exempt from this restriction. After June 12th, 2024, graduate students must apply in person at the Registration Division; online applications will not be accepted, and all related suspension or withdrawal procedures must be completed by July 31st, 2024 (Monday).

V. New students who wish to suspend their studies before the start of the semester must first complete the New Student Enrollment Service Network/Comprehensive Basic Information Registration and Academic Credentials Verification.

VI. Should you have any inquiries, please contact the Office of Academic Affairs' Registration Division at 05-5342601 ext. 2213.
