This course is intend to provide an overseas study experinece for students. Within the study period, student are expected to learn basic communication skills, knowledge of cultural differences and perfessonal design research methodologies, in order to accomplished an overseas studies project. At the final stage of this course, during the summer break, student have to compeleted their own study project and dilever a final project report.

Special Topics on Qualitative Research Practice a research course discusses the theoretical basis of research, writing, in-depth practice and case studies. Teachers and students conduct comprehensively the research and learning styles. The teaching processes will be divided into two parts: first to discuss the research and argument, the second part is to analyze and discuss the case studies. Pedagogy of the former part will explore the theoretical analysis, research paper. Then the use of case studies and mentors system in the curriculum to explore and discuss of their own experiences as well as the introduction of possible application in the industry sector. The study goal is to meet the requirement of Science and Technology University in both theory and practice of teaching.

Interaction design has gone a long way from WIMP to installation. Two main approach: Ambient Intelligence/ubiquitous computing and social media have form the day to come. How we as digital media designer coop with the post-PC era? and what kind of interaction design can we design? Course starts with one simple idea: to build a simple interaction device for the people.

Methodology

Interaction is a situated activity involving: people, device and surrounding. You will never understand interaction until you experience or situated in the interaction. User Experience and scenario design are the methodology you will learn in this course.

This course content is composed of the recognition of marketing research, studies on questionnaire design, analytical methods for sampling and data, evaluation of marketing research, and planning of design and marketing strategy. The objective is to help the graduate student to recognize the importance of designing application in marketing research through material reading. In accordance with individual student learning background and his or her environment factors, the course was designed to zoom on surveillance on marketing method of specific products. Our expectation of takers of this course is to improve their capability of doing marketing research and analyses as well as expressing themselves adequately. Another emphasis of the course happens to be the relation between marketing in the market place and product design, which ought to enhance the feasibility of design marketing.
